Spain leads the European Union on international nights and on coastal nights, which is the same statistic read two ways: an enormous, well-built hospitality industry, and a set of destinations — Barcelona, Palma, Ibiza — now actively managing how many people arrive. The Canaries sit in the same country and run on the opposite calendar.
