Privacy
The short version: we run a publication, not a data business. We count visits without identifying visitors, and we hold nothing about you unless you write to us.
What we collect
Relax Explorer is a static website. It has no accounts, no log-in, and no profile of you. Two things touch data at all:
- Aggregate analytics. We use a self-hosted instance of Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count page views, referrers, and the rough country a visit comes from. Umami is cookieless and does not store personal data or persistent identifiers; we see traffic in aggregate, never a person. The data stays on infrastructure we operate and is not shared with any advertising platform.
- Hosting logs. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and operations. We do not use them for anything else.
What we deliberately do not do
- No advertising pixels — no Google Ads tag, no Meta Pixel — and no ad-tech cookies.
- No sale, rental or sharing of any data with data brokers or advertisers.
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
This is also why you see no cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes — for example, if a marketing pixel is ever enabled — this policy changes first and a consent mechanism appears with it.
If you contact us or subscribe
If you write to us, we have your message and your address, and we use them to reply — nothing else. When the newsletter launches, subscribing will hand your email address to the newsletter provider we name at the point of signup, used only to send you that newsletter, with an unsubscribe link in every issue.
Your rights
Because we hold essentially nothing about you, most requests are short conversations. You can still ask us at any time what we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to your local data-protection authority if you think we handled something badly.
