Pantheon
A whole room of antiquity in the middle of the Centro Storico — now with a timed ticket.
The Pantheon needs no superlative to earn its slot: it is still a basilica, still intact, and it sits in the walking fabric between Navona and Trevi rather than behind a perimeter. The useful way to plan it is as a fixed point on a Centro Storico walk — not as a queue-free drop-in, which it no longer is.
Visits can be suspended during religious celebrations, food and drink stay outside, and the step-free entrance is the ramp on Via della Minerva. There is no cloakroom.
