Romeo Napoli
A design hotel facing the cruise terminal — embarkation logistics reduced to crossing a road.
Designed by Kenzō Tange, the Romeo puts contemporary Japanese architecture and an Italian art collection on the port front. For a cruise passenger the location is decisive: the Stazione Marittima is on the other side of Via Cristoforo Colombo.
The rooftop pool gives the port back as a view — breakfast with your own ship in frame. What it does not give you is a neighbourhood; this is harbour ground, not the historic centre.
