Around 80% of visitors to Iceland see the south, and Reykjavík is the base for it rather than the point of it: the waterfall chain along the ring road, the black sand at Reynisfjara, the ice caves under Vatnajökull, and the glacier lagoon at Jökulsárlón with the beach of stranded ice below it.
